This article is about the foundation of the Catholic faith. Catholicism is founded and based on prefabricated lies. This website is solely dedicated to separating fact from fiction. The information in this article is taken from a book written by a man named Lionell Attwell. Lionel was a journalist and on his search for truth he took apart the lies of Religion, uncovering many truths with a very sharp accuracy. Here is a Video from a ex Priest named Richard Bennett. He also discusses in a solid completeness the lies behind the Catholic Foundation, which is based on the apostle Peter. God bless
Exerpt from Attwell:
My research would prove that the Pope’s authority and infallibility are spurious claims, and that for millennia the Roman Catholic Church has deceived billions of people and continues to do so… How is it possible for the 1.3. billion Roman Catholics in the world today to be so deceived, I asked myself? How in these modern times could they continue to base their faith on lies?…
The first thing I discovered was that an Apostle called Peter never existed. In Israel at the time of Yahshua nor at any time in the Biblical era. There was no Hebrew or Aramaic equivalent of the Greek name Petros from which the English name Peter is derived. I discovered that the great Apostle’s name was nothing like the name Petros or Peter. And most disturbing was the fact that none of the gospels or the Epistles ever refer to an Apostle or man named Peter.
In what I consider to be the most profound of the Books of the B’rit Chadashah, (the gospel according to John) we have a record of Yahshua’s first face to face encounter with the Apostle whom the Church, for expediency sake, have renamed “Peter.” In almost all the translations, including the King James, it states:
He (Andrew) first findeth his own brother and saith unto him, “We have found theMessiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.” And then he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, He said, “Thou art Simon, the son of Jona; thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, a stone.” John 1:42
Peters Real Name
Here we even have the Christian Bible, the King James Version, verifying that Peter’s name was not Peter but Simon the son of Jona. And here we witness Yahshua does not re-name Simon Peter, he re-names him Cephas which means a stone. Totally nullifying the Church’s claim that the Apostle was ever called Peter or Petros, a Rock. Yahshua did not say you are Peter, but you are Simon, the son of Jona and you shall be called, not Peter, (Petros, a rock) but Cephas which means stone or pebble. This was the tsunami which irredeemably obliterated the edifice and authority of the Christian Church for me. The Roman Catholic Church and all its sibling Protestant Christian churches were founded on an Apostle whose name was not Peter and who was not a rock as they claimed but was a pebble or stone. All other references to Cephas as Peter in the other three gospels in the Christian Bible are blatant outright lies for he is always called either Simon Peter, or in the majority of cases, simply Cephas. Obviously the Church translators, including all the modern translators, created a false name for the greatest Apostle in order to shore-up the claim that the [Catholic] Church was built on Peter the Rock. This perversion of the Scriptures was to me perhaps the greatest deception in the history of mankind. But more mind-blowing truths were to emerge about the lies of Christian Church which have been hiding in the unexposed dark of their religious sewers for two thousand years.
Why did Christ choose a Greek name for a Jewish man?
I asked myself why would Yahshua choose a Greek name Cephas for Simon? That seemed highly unlikely even if He was choosing the name depicting a stone or pebble in contrast to Himself being the Rock on which His church would be built. I was convinced Yahshua would have chosen a Hebrew name, a name that would reflectSimon’s character. And Simon ba Jonah was by his life-style and character a very wild, tempestuous, arrogant and fearless confident young man and was neither a placid stone or harmless pebble. Further investigation hit me like the stone which David used in his sling to slay Goliath.
In Aramaic, the common every day language of the Jews in Biblical times, the word for stone or pebble is Sefas. It is more than likely that in this instance the translators of the Hebrew text into Greek chose not to use the Greek word Petros, meaning rock, but the Aramaic word Kephas which also means rock. So here we have it, Shimon, renamed Cephas the stone for the sake of expediency becomes Kephas the rock which in turn becomes Petros the rock. The transition to Peter becomes easy, as does the reverse, that Peter is Petros the rock upon whom Yahshua would build His church.
It now appeared obvious to me that the Christian translators conveniently used this text to justify their right to consistently and falsely rename Simon Bar Jonah throughout the gospels as Peter. But more was to come. Further investigation showed that the Aramaic word for rock is Kefa. I later prove that Yahshua spoke fluent Hebrew and He would not have chosen an Aramaic name for Simon. There can be no doubt He would, as was Jewishcustom, have chosen a Biblical Hebrew name or word as I previously mentioned that would reflect Shimon’s (Simon’s) character.
Really Young Lion not Stone?
It was at this point that I made my most startling discovery of all. Yahshua did name Shimon, Kefa, not using the Aramaic word, but the Hebrew word Kefa. And now comes the moment when the rubber hits the road as the Church collides with the truth. Kefa in Hebrew is the shortened version of the Hebrew word for lion, Kefira. The Hebrew word Kefa means little lion or lion cub.
In other words Yahshua appropriately named Shimon, not the Pebble but the “Young Lion.” So He did not say, “you are Peter (Petros the rock) but that,” you are Shimon the Young Lion.” I found that just incredible because later we learn in Scripture that Yahshua is called the “Lion of the Tribe of Judah”.
It was obvious to me that the Church, for their own expediency to substantiate the fact that the Church had been built on Peter the Rock, chose to translate the Hebrew word Kefa as rock, and not as Yahshua chose and meant, the “young lion.” Suddenly itwas all beginning to make sense and to me further substantiate the fact that the Christian Church is a man created political/religious organization.
The other Hebrew names for lion are: ayah, gur, labi, layish, shahal, shahaz and the all important kephir and its derivative kephira meaning lion cub and finally kefa meaning little lion. And what ultimately proved the fact that Shimon had never been known as Peter by neither Yahshua nor the other eleven apostles was the fact that Shaul (erroneously given the Roman name Paul) who knew and was friends with him, throughout his letters in the B’rit Chadashah, always referred to Simon as Kefa, in other words the little lion.
Kefa’s original name of Shimon or ןועמש comes from the Hebrew language meaning “hearkening and listening.” In standard Hebrew it is pronounced as Šhimon. According to New Testament gospels of the Christian Bible, Yahshua renames him “Petros” or Πέτρος, which comes from the Greek meaning “pebble” or “piece of rock” The name is also occasionally given as, “Cephas”. Even here we see that Petros does not mean Rock, but “pebble or little stone”. Nevertheless in their determination to establish a Gentile foundation for the Church, the early fathers chose the word, Rock. It would not have been good marketing to state that the Church was built on a pebble.
To summarise, the most used text of the Church in the Christian Bible reads:
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" Simon Peter answered, "You are Christ, the Son of the living God" And Jesus said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.
Matthew 16:17-19
The original Hebrew Scriptures reads:
Now when Yahshua came into the district of Caesar Philippa, He said to them (his disciples), “But who do you say that I am?” Shimon answered, “You are HaMashiach (the Messiah), the Son of the living Elohim.” And Yahshua said to him,” Blessed are you Shimon bar Yochanan, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father which is in heaven. I also say to you, you are Kefa (a little lion), and upon this rock (of revelation knowledge) I will build My Church.” Matthew 16:15-18.
When I compared this with the text in the Christian Bible I knew beyond doubt that my earlier conclusions had been verified. It is not only the mistranslation of the name that is paramount but the mutation of the meaning of what Yahshua was stating. Whenever a Scripture is taken out of context it always results in a gross hereticaldogma, and in this case the whole of Christianity is founded on an ultimate perversion of the truth. When I put these texts under the microscope I discovered that all the key words were riddled with mutations of the most perverse kind. Each had been altered to fulfil the secret agenda of the Christian church. Let us examine the text in context and understand what the Scriptures are actually telling us. All the Christian Bible translators write:
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking Hisdisciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are theChrist, the Son of the Living God.” And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon bar Jona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. I also say to you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.” Mathew 16.13-18.
Even from these mistranslated verses it should have been obvious that Yahshua was categorically stating that His Church, would be built on the solid Rock of RevelationKnowledge given by Yahveh, in other words Yahveh is the Rock. He definitely was not telling Shimon bar Jona that He would build His “Church” on a frail mortal human-being like him or any other untrustworthy human-being. Afterall, it was not long afterwards that Shimon would reveal his frailty by denying Him threetimes. I am convinced that what Yahshua was emphatically stating was that He wouldbuild His Church on The Rock, Yaweh.
Proof that God is the Rock
There are numerous Scriptures that substantiate this fact. Because the disciples would have been familiar with the Books of the Old Covenant (Jewish children were taught Torah from the moment they could talk) they were fully aware that the Scriptures often referred to Yahweh as The Rock. I quote just a few:
Then Moses spoke in the hearing of all the assembly of Israel, the words of this song: “For I proclaim the Name of Yahveh; Ascribe greatness to our Elohim, the Rock! His work is perfect. For all His ways are just; An Elohim of faithfulness and without injustice.” Deut 32:3, 4.
“Then he forsook Elohim who made him, And scorned the Rock of his salvation. You neglected the Rock who begot you, And forgot the Elohim who gave you birth.” Deut 32:15, 18.
Then in the Book of Isaiah:
“In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: Trust in Yahveh forever, for in Yahveh, we have an everlasting Rock.” Isaiah. 26:4.
And the prophet Isaiah also quotes Yahweh saying:
“And you are My witnesses. Is there any Elohim besides me? Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.” Isaiah 44:8.
In the Book of Corinthians in the B’rit Chadashah we have the divinity of Yahshua emphasized as the Rock on which He would build His church: Rabbi Shaul (erroneously renamed St. Paul by the Christian Church) who as aPharisee too was more than familiar with the Old Covenant Scriptures writes:
“For I do not want you to be unaware brethren, that our fathers were all under thecloud and all passed through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and all ate the same spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual Rock which followed them, and the Rock was the Messiah (the Christian scriptures erroneously state Christ.) 1 Cor 1. 10-4.
Explication on the meaning of Rock
So now we have an extra-dimension to Yahshua’s statement:
“On this Rock I will build My church.”
The Rock was Yahveh and the Rock was Yahshua Himself, substantiated by His statement:
“I and the Father are one.” At this juncture the Jewish leaders picked up stones to stone Him for blasphemy stating; “For a good work we do not stone you, but for blasphemy, because You being a man, make yourself out to be Elohim (God.) John 10:31,33.
Conclusion
My research had irrefutably proved that the Rock was not a vulnerable and frightened human-being falsely named Peter. I realized that once again the Church had with clinical premeditation perverted the original Hebrew Scriptures to falsely propagate that the Church was not built on the rock which was the Jewish God, Yahveh, and a Jewish Messiah, Yahshua, but built on a Romanized man, the first Gentile PopePetros/Peter. In other words, their mutation and perversion of the Scriptures enabled the Church to be the arbiter of truth and the Pope, the alleged successor of Peter, to be the Holy Father whose dictates were and are infallible.
